Born in 1938, Greater Tokyo, Japan
takes the interest in calligraphy art at early age, and begins studying calligraphy under Grand Master Kuwahara Suihou (桑原翠邦, 1906 - 1995), a pupil of Grand Master Hidai Tenrai (比田井天来, 1872 - 1939), who is often referred to as "the father of modern Japanese calligraphy"
1956: graduates from the Kokugakuin University (國學院大學), ancient Japanese literature and culture division
1961 - 1970: teaches calligraphy art and literature at high schools in Saitama Prefecture, Japan
1970: opens a calligraphy school, under the banner of All Japan Calligraphy Art and Literature Association (全日本書芸文化院)
1970 - 1996: appointed as a director of Calligraphy Art and Literature Research Society at All Japan Calligraphy Art and Literature Association
1972 - present: appointed as a consultant board board chairman of the Shosoin Calligraphy Organisation (書宗院)
1970 - present: writes articles of a scholastic nature for the Zenshogei (全書芸) calligraphy magazine, which mainly aim at analysis and explanation of ancient calligraphy manuscripts, particulars of calligraphy styles and scripts
1989 - present: creates Ancient Literature and Calligraphy Research Group (古典研究会), aimed at educating and coaching professional calligraphy teachers
1991 - 1993 works at Japanese Ministry of Education (文部省), co-designing calligraphy education programs for art and literature classes at Japanese high schools, as well as guidance materials for teachers therein
1994 : awarded the highest prize by the Mistry of Education for achievements in the field of preserving the Japanese calligraphy art
1992 - 1993: appointed as a board chairman of Saitama Prefecture Research Society for High School Education of Calligraphy Art and Literature
2000, 2003, and 2006: elected as editor in chief of the All Japan Calligraphy Art and Literature monthly magazine
